What is the Groom n Go Difference?
Operating as an independently-owned, local business these past 21 years has given us the opportunity to build great relationships with our clients and their pets.
“We have very been fortunate that handlers and breeders have shared their knowledge of correct show styles and some of the best pet trims for those breeds. At Groom n Go, we’ve taken that education and have been able to apply it to all of our clients whether a certain breed or a wonderful, loved mixed breed. After all, at Groom N Go, all our clients are ‘show dogs’ to us. We are focused not only on giving your dog the best trim, but making that trim the best for YOU as well—by listening to your needs and learning about your lifestyle.”
It is our commitment to provide quality grooming care throughout the life of your pet. Our services and facilities are designed to provide ease and comfort for the dogs (especially as they age) as well as our groomers. We strive to treat your dog like they are a part of own family and are dedicated to becoming your partner in your pet’s grooming care.
Our goal is to practice the highest quality bathing, grooming and pet care with compassion and an emphasis on client education. Our entire staff is committed to providing personal attention to the unique concerns of each individual pet owner.
History of Groom n Go
Groom n Go opened its doors in 1989, originally as both a self-serve and full-service dog grooming operation at the old Ann Arbor Animal Hospital on West Liberty. Founded by David Gibbons, the original grooming shop was in the garage of the building. (photo)
Chelle Kilmury joined the Groom n Go team in 1998 and now is the managing partner of Groom n Go East. Stay tuned for upcoming news about the new Groom n Go East facility (early 2011)!
About David Gibbons (Groom n Go West)
Most of David’s education in the art of Dog Grooming was attained through his occupation as a Professional Dog Handler at AKC Dog Shows, where he won multiple Best In Shows. David also has bred Whippets for 30 years. It’s a breed he loves, and of course, since they have short hair, it’s a perfect breed for a groomer.
